Congratulations to colleagues Natalie Moffat and Rachael Trench from our Gosforth and Byker stores who've just got married.
They celebrated their big day at the Parlour at Blagdon with family, friends and colleagues before going on an amazing honeymoon to Cuba.
Operations manager Natalie has worked for Asda 17 years, while Rachael has been with us for 16 years. They've been together for five years.
Natalie, who started out working at our Galashiels store, met Rachael on a night out in Newcastle with mutual friends and it was just a coincidence that they both worked for Asda.
Natalie said: "We just got chatting on that night out and we immediately clicked, I'd never felt that connection with someone before. We started dating from there. We met in the July and in the October I decided that I was going to come down and move to Newcastle.
"Rachael's got a great personality. She's really funny and always laughing and joking around.
"We had a great wedding day, but it went so fast. It was over in a blink of an eye."
Our Gosforth store's community champion Michelle Castledine said: "Everyone here at Gosforth wishes them all the best on the start of a new chapter in their lives together.
"Natalie is part of our management team here at Gosforth and is also a lovely friendly and hard working colleague. I worked with Rachael when she was at our store and she is such a lovely colleague and very well liked by her colleagues."
