I visited the Oldham's Children Centre where I helped to give out the free packed lunches to the children.

The project is organised and run by the Urban Outreach charity. Local businesses from around the borough are contributing. On Day 1 we gave out a staggering 2,300 lunches  were given out, 12,000 lunches in total during Week 1. By Week 6 the charity will have made and distributed around 70,000 lunches. In addition to this mammoth operation, Urban Outreach will be cooking with families in the park two days a week. The project is being supported by 400 volunteers.
