I visited the arts and crafts session for the local group known as the 'Stand Up Sisters' to present a thank-you hamper with scones and jam for a cream tea, and with a framed certificate for the group thanking them for all the work that they do in the community.
The group are an arts group that empower women who have had experience of lived mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence based in Bolton. The group support women to fulfil their hopes, dreams and ambitions by helping them to find their creative voices and raise educational attainment. I've volunteered with this group over the last four years and it was such a pleasure to be able to present the group with the hamper.
