I was contacted by local group Acts of Kindess the group have been amazing during then lockdown offering support in so many different ways to so many people.
They stepped in to continue running a food bank when our local one had to close over lockdown. When people are in need of help Kerry who runs the group with her band of happy volunteers are always there to help through difficult times. Kerry contacted me about a family who had been involved in a house fire and were left with desperate situation. She had rallied round getting support but was in need of some essential clothing for the family. I was so proud that we were able to donate something through our emergency donations and Stuart, our store manager, was around to hand over the donation to a grateful volunteer. Fortunately no-one was hurt in the fire and the family are receiving help from our wonderful community.
