This year I was once again able to help organise the Gosportarians' summer festival – the group's first major event since the start of Covid.
Communities champions from local stores, Fareham, Totton, Portsmouth, Southampton and Eastleigh all came along to help run a Tickled Pink stall, judge the schools cake show and help book in and judge the dog show. Our store manager opened the show with our local MP Caroline Dineage and together they judged the first couple of rounds in the dog show. Each year the group chooses a couple of charities to donate to and this year we were thrilled to find out that they had decided to make a donation to Tickled Pink. Malcolm, chairman of the Gosportians, and his team came to our store to make a donation of £1,200 to Tickled Pink which supports Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel. I look forward to helping again next year.
