Men’s sheds are non-profit local organisations that provide a space for craftwork and social interaction.
The movement originated in Australia as a way to improve the health and wellbeing of older men. One of our local branches in Hayling Island contacted me to see if we could donate some tea, coffee, biscuits & equipment as post lockdown demand for the Men’s Shed has been high. Jerry, pictured here, told me how they plan to start several small clubs to help combat the loneliness that many have endured this year because of the pandemic.
