It was lovely to meet Rachel from the Children's Berevement Centre, which has recently been awarded a £750 grant from the Asda Foundation.
The centre provides children and young people with one-to-one bereavement support and counselling, group workshops, social events and a two-day residential bereavement camp. The funding will be used to purchase creative resources for the children and young people to use to communicate and help explore their feelings, learn to understand them, make sense of what has happened and to learn self-care and coping strategies to improve their resilience and mental health.
