Yardley Baptist Church got in touch and we had a chat regarding the fabulous activities they were doing within the community during Covid-19.
Normally the church run events to bring the community together at the church during half terms, culminating in a meal in the church hall. For obvious reasons this has been cancelled and the church changed plans. After deciding on an easy meal people could cook themselves at home, ingredients were then ordered online via our click and collect, to be collected by a representative. These were then divided into 30 bags/boxes to be delivered to the vulnerable families, therefore enabling them to take part in a meal at home. Even being apart they ate the same meal. With October looming the same idea will happen, but the members wanted to help with an activity for the families to do together. Julie came to collect the arts and crafts we have donated to help support them with their activities.
