Sarah, who's a music teacher at Kings Academy Prospect, was visiting me in store to talk about a visit with the school choir in December. We got chatting about Asda's Tickled Pink campaign - which supports Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel - and she offered to help me with my preparations for a tombola.

As we worked we chatted and Sarah told me her story. She has lost both her mum and her nan to breast cancer. Sarah herself tested positive for having the gene so made the only decision she felt was right for her and had a double mastectomy. Post biopsy results showed she had breast cancer in her milk ducts so also had to have her nipples removed. This wonderful lady has been through so much and yet is already back at work giving assemblies on the subject to help spread the word. I meet many wonderful people in Asda, but non so inspiring as Sarah. I can’t wait to welcome her and the school choir in December to sign Christmas carols for our customers.
