Anna-Maree Shaw was appointed as Asda’s Chief Customer Officer in January 2020. She joined Asda after running her own company Customer Dialogue in Australia and recently supported The University of Queensland where she developed their digital strategy and roadmap, along with the overall customer experience programme. She has six years’ experience in C-suite roles in Australia.
Anna started her career advertising agency side as a Graphic Designer and worked across PR, advertising and data driven marketing, before joining EHS BRANN as a Senior Account Manager for Tesco and later moving client side to work with Sainsbury’s with roles in both the Marketing and Commercial teams. Her experience spans 25 years and three continents across a range of markets and sectors, including Financial Services and Higher Education, in addition to Retail.
She is an open, authentic and approachable leader, who believes in collaboration to drive change. Passionate about the role of digital in improving customer experiences, she uses her world-class foundation in marketing strategy to champion the customer.
In May 2020 Anna became the Executive Sponsor of the Well-being Colleague Resource Group and is committed to driving physical, mental, social and financial well-being in Asda for both colleagues and customers.
Anna holds a Degree in Art (Graphic Design), Business Degree and an MBA from Cranfield University. She lives in Leeds with her husband and has two grown up children currently finishing their studies back in Australia.
