Mother’s Day is the perfect time to show your mum just how much you care, but for 97 Asda colleagues working in stores across Northern Ireland, including 26 at Asda Omagh, every day is Mother’s Day, as they spend quality time together in store.

Asda Omagh has the largest number of family connections across all the stores in Northern Ireland – with 11 sets, including four mums who work with two of their children.

Nicola McCrory works with her son Niall. “I have a great relationship with my son,” Nicola explained. “I’ve worked in store since Asda first came to Northern Ireland in 2005 – I love working here so was delighted when Niall got the chance to join the Home Shopping team in 2014.

“Working as a colleague in Asda you feel like you’re part of one big family – and the Omagh store is such a friendly place. That’s why I was so happy when Niall got the job – I knew he’d fit in right away! Plus, working in store at this time of year means he has no reason not to get me a really nice present for Mother’s Day!”

Other mums and their children who work together in store include Lavinia McFarland and her son Sam, Joanne Donnelly and her mum Collette, Shanice Martin and her mum Marion, Tina Gallagher and her son Ruari Gallagher, Joan Somerville and son and daughter Ben and Jade, Patricia McGrade and daughters Sorcha and Caoimhe, Jackie Kelly and her daughter Megan, Siobhan McCarney and son and daughter Jack and Maeve Mulligan, Joan Redhead and her sons Gary and Glenn and Jackie Starrs and her daughter Shannon.
