Our Frome store's community champion Jackie Bryant has been busy making sure her fabulous colleagues are recognised for their hard work and dedication by chronicling their stories on the store's Facebook page.

Jackie, pictured below, has been ensuring that what she calls the Asda Frome family heroes from all departments are given a well-earned pat on the back – sharing dozens of examples the everyday acts of kindness at the store and detailing what different colleagues are doing to help ensure customers get the supplies they need.

Brian Brooker, the store's deputy manager, says Jackie's efforts have been going down well both with customers and colleagues at the store.

He said: "Jackie is a hero herself. She loves her job, the store and the colleagues. I've never heard anyone have a bad word about her. She's very popular here and what she's doing is great for morale.

"The colleagues love it and we've had lots of customers seeing the posts and coming in to say well done. It really is lovely. The customers really appreciate what we are all doing.

"Strange seems to be the new norm now, but our colleagues come in everyday and just get on with it. It's just business as usual."

Two of the colleagues Jackie has given shout-outs to are Emma and Sam, who helped a customer with diabetes when she became poorly in store.

Sam said: "The lady asked for a drink as her blood sugars were low so I got one for her and then helped her put the shopping on the belt and packed for her. She was then having some trouble putting her card into the pin machine and couldn’t see well enough to put in the number so I called Emma our first aider on the headset."

Emma got her a chair and made sure she was comfortable and stayed with her until she felt better.

A member of the customer's family got in touch with the the store to thank them for their actions.

Here are just a few of the stories Jackie's been sharing on Facebook about her colleagues at the store:
