Louise goes out of her way to make sure Asda customer receives her shopping
Well done to our fabulous colleague Louise Crofts who went the extra mile to make sure a customer and her disabled son received their essential groceries.
The customer had phoned our Middleton Park store in Aberdeen to explain to customer service manager Louise that she'd accidentally booked a Click & Collect rather than home delivery, but had no way of getting into store.
Without hesitation Louise picked up the lady's groceries, got in her own car and took them round to her house herself.
Louise, who's worked for Asda for six years and has been at the Middleton Park store for the last nine months, said: "The customer was having a tough day and had no means of transport. She said she would get a taxi to collect the shopping but I said I didn't want her to waste money on a taxi, especially in this climate, and I would drop her shopping off to her instead and not to worry.
"I couldn't see any customer struggle and not get their shopping. We always look out for our customers. I felt I was only doing my job and anyone else would have done the same."
The store's admin manager Darren Reid, who nominated Louise for an Asda customer service award, said: "The customer was so grateful to Louise as she had no way of getting to the store to collect her shopping. Great service Louise, well done.”
