Family 'punches the air' with joy when they see Fulwood driver John pull up

Friendly Asda delivery driver John Bryant is so popular with one of the families he delivers to that they say they punch the air with excitement when they see it's him bringing their shopping!

Regular customer Emma Green tweeted that John, who's based at our Fulwood store in Preston, is "hands down the nicest, most helpful guy who always makes us smile".

She said: "Life has been a wild ride these last 12 months but we genuinely air punch when we know it's going to be him bringing our shopping because he's so cheerful.

"He always entertains our three-year-old Reuben too. He recently played hide and seek behind the car at a safe distance while my husband Daniel and I carried the shopping from the door.

"Before Covid he would take his shoes off at the door and bring the shopping into the house too. He's such a lovely guy who's always willing to go the extra mile."

The store's home shopping manager Kieran Ellams says it's great to see how much John's friendly customer service is valued by Emma and her family.

He said: "It's so nice for John to get such great recognition. He is such a bubbly person who is so professional. His deliveries are flawless. He is just a pleasure to have on the team."
