Well done to Jenna Toal from our Bearsden store who went out of her way to make sure a customer got her mobile phone back after she left it in the store.
Jenna, who's the store's customer trading manager, was working at the customer service desk when she heard a phone ring. She answered it, and soon discovered it was the customer trying to track down her phone.
Jenna said: “When I answered the phone, the lady was very distressed. She told me she couldn’t get out much because she has full-time caring responsibilities for her son and asked if I could keep the phone safe.
“I offered to drop the phone to her house as I knew it would be hard for her to get back to the store to collect it.
"When I got to her house, she was delighted and gave me a thank you card which was lovely. I was just glad I was able to help her out.
“I would do it for anyone, but when I heard about her son I knew it was the right thing to do. Our customers are everything and I would always put them first.”
Deputy store manager Rachael Kelly thanked Jenna for going the extra mile to help the customer.
She said: “I received a letter from the customer after Jenna returned her phone and after a busy year at Asda Bearsden, it was so lovely to hear.
"Jenna is a friendly, bubbly and extremely approachable person. She always goes out of her way to help our customers. Thank you, Jenna!”
