Woking customer says Hassan is best colleague he's seen around the world!

Checkouts colleague Hassan Riaz is so popular with customers at our Woking store that one shopper even said he was the best supermarket employee he'd come across in 42 years!

Store manager Ben Baker has nominated Hassan for an Asda customer service award, saying: "To have that said about you is a great achievement."

Ben said: "The gentleman, who shops with us regularly, approached me as he wanted to tell me that he'd been a supermarket manager himself in France, Brazil and the USA and Hassan was the best colleague he had ever met. The best in 42 years!

Ben says Hassan is extremely popular both with customers and colleagues.

He said: "He's a lovely guy; a great colleague who's always chatting to customers. If they want anything doing or getting, Hassan is always the person they go too.

"We're always getting lots of positive feedback about him. He's very passionate about his work.

"Hassan lives in the local community and he's so well known. There's a mosque next to the store and Hassan spends a lot of time helping out there. He does a lot of charity work in the community too."

A modest Hassan, who's worked at the store for five years, says it's an honour to be nominated for an award, but insists he's only doing his job.

He said: "I love working for Asda it's such a great place. We've lots of great, regular customers and I enjoy helping them get what they need."
