Asda Forfar colleagues thanked for helping customer having vertigo attack

June 02, 2021 10:25 AM

A big well done to our colleagues Heather Reeves and Nikki Davidson who went to the aid of an elderly customer who had a vertigo attack in our Forfar store.

The gentleman was so impressed by their swift actions that when he was feeling better he wrote to store manager Graham Mackenzie to thank Heather and Nikki for helping him in "his time of need".

He wrote: "The attention and concerns expressed were exceptional and comforting. There was no panic. This was due to your staff's complete understanding of what my problem was. I was made as comfortable as possible and constantly supervised."

The man, a regular customer to the store, felt poorly while in our store's cafeteria and Nikki, who's security section leader, spotted he was in difficulty and quickly went to help. She then called first aider Helen who was working on Click & Collect.

They made him comfortable and looked after him until his wife was able to come and pick him up and take him home.

Store manager Graham says everyone is proud of Nikki and Heather, who have both received Asda customer service awards.

Graham said: "These two colleagues took the moment in their stride and showed what being Asda means. It was great to see someone take the time out to thank them too. Great work ladies."
