Colleagues at our Middlesbrough store have named one of their new delivery vans in honour of much-loved home shopping colleague Carol Williamson who tragically died of cancer last year aged 63.

Her colleagues at the store wanted to find a fitting way to remember Carol, who was described as the "the heart and soul of our home shopping team", so arranged for a "For Carol" message to go on one of their vans.

Nicky Rudd, divisional online change manager who worked with Carol for six years, said: "Carol wasn't just a good colleague, she was good friend too. She worked at the Middlesbrough store for 32 years and was the face of the store.

"Everyone here loved her. She was so passionate about online shopping which she did for seven years and loved to chat to customers."

She said when the anniversary of Carol's passing was getting close she and online section leader Ben Hartshorne thought it would be a fabulous tribute to name a van in her memory.

Nicky said: "We had a bit of a presentation and a ceremony and I know Carol was looking down on us. She would have loved it.

"We know that she is always with us, making sure no vans go out late on her watch."
