Ben's cheery outlook makes him a big hit with customers at Asda Bangor

Checkouts colleague Ben Brunton is proving a bit hit with customers at our Bangor store who've been telling us they love his bubbly personality and cheerful manner.

Ben, who started working at the store this summer, loves to chat with every shopper he sees and goes out of his way to brighten up their day.

His positive attitude and friendly personality has resulted in him being nominated for an Asda customer service award.

Philip Stewart, the store's production manager, pictured above with Ben, said: “Ben's like a ray of sunshine! Throughout the last few months, having Ben in the store has been great as he always takes the time to chat to our customers. I have never known of any other colleague receiving as many compliments from customers! He's a bubbly colleague who really brightens up your day."

And store manager Ciara Smyth said: "Ben's a credit to the store and has come on leaps and bounds in the short time that he has been with us. He consistently receives exceptional feedback from customers and colleagues due to his warm personality and passion for customer service.”

Ben takes the praise all in his stride and said: "I love to help my colleagues and customers. Every day I am here, I learn something new! This feedback has made me really happy, as I am very passionate about good customer service. My confidence has really grown from working as part of a team in Asda."
