Asda Fareham pharmacy colleagues work around the clock to give booster jabs
A big thank you to our fantastic pharmacy colleagues Lynn Stuart and Mike Thomas from our Fareham store who are working through the night to give more people the chance of getting their Covid-19 booster jab before Christmas.
They're running clinics giving people the booster vaccine from 11pm to 7am each night in the run-up to Christmas so people who work shifts or outside normal working hours can come in at a time to suit them. Bookings should be made via the NHS website but some walk-in appointments may also be available.
Lynn and Mike plan to continue their festive efforts after Christmas too, offering through the nights jabs to those who can’t come in during the day.
Store manager Dean Glasspool says he's so proud of Lynn and Mike for taking the initiative.
He said: "They wanted to do something to help as many people as possible – particularly before they're getting together with loved ones this Christmas. It's so good of them and over this weekend alone they have given more than 400 people their boosters.
"It's the real Christmas spirit to be so selfless at this time of year and I couldn't be more proud of them."
Our superintendent pharmacist Faisal Tuddy said: “I’m incredibly proud of Lynn and Mike – as I am of all our pharmacists and pharmacy teams who have risen to the challenge to help vaccinate our patients at this time of need.”
