Community champions deliver Christmas Eve boxes to schoolchildren across the UK
Community champions from our stores across the UK have been busy delivering special Christmas Eve boxes to schoolchildren all filled with festive treats and gifts.
The boxes contained an activity book, colouring pencils, a comb, a pot of bubbles, socks, A Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, a Sky Movies voucher together with a Christmas cracker and card.
Sinead Hinch, community champion from our Newark store (pictured above), dropped off the boxes to John Hunt Academy and Holy Trinity Catholic Academy in Newark. She said: "I’ve thoroughly enjoyed making these up and I hope the children enjoy opening them up and finding what’s inside!"
At our Barnstaple store, community champion Walter Moore and the Asda Elf delivered boxes to pupils at Our Ladies Catholic Primary School. Walter said: "You could feel and see the children's excitement in their faces when they received the boxes."
