Twenty-one-year old Keith Riley from our St Helens store is forever getting positive comments from customers who love his "cheeky chappy" personality and friendly manner.

Keith, who joined the store during the pandemic, works in a range of different roles, as a porter, as well as on checkouts, self scan and as a home shopping picker.

Michelle Simms, the store's customer service manager, said: "When customers take the time to ask to speak to his manager to give the positive feedback in person you know he is doing something right.

"He has great rapport with our customers and loves to chat about Wigan Rugby League Club. Keith is a pleasure to work with; he is always willing to help out and work wherever he is needed. I spoke to two customers recently who just wanted to tell me how lovely he was and how he'd chatted to them whilst serving them at the checkout.

"They said people are quick to complain about the younger generation, but that he was a credit to our store."

Keith's now been nominated for an Asda service superstar award for his customer service.

He said: "I love my job because I like helping out and keeping busy. It's nice to deal with the customers that I meet, it helps that it's a rugby town and I've always got people to talk to about a big passion of mine so it helps break the ice with them to make their experience that bit more pleasurable."
