Kane Scott-Davies from our Llandudno store saved the day when a customer realised she'd forgotten her bank card after she'd picked up all her groceries.

The customer wrote to the store to thank 25-year-old Kane for his "unbelievable" customer service.

She said: "The bill came to £370 and although I had a savings card with £200 on I had a big shortfall of £170. As I live in Bethesda I couldn't just pop home and at the time I felt extremely embarrassed and upset. Not knowing what to do, Kane came over and offered to pay the outstanding bill if I transferred the money to him.

"He even went and fetched an Apple charger as my phone battery was dead, charged it up and took care of the transfer and he sorted it all out in front of me. He took me through the process step by step along with a colleague, including handing me a receipt. In all honesty I can't believe he went the extra mile to sort all this out. I am so grateful."

Service section leader Kane, who has worked at the store for six years, has been nominated for an Asda service superstar award for his kind actions.

Store operations manager Gari Hughes said: "We are all proud of Kane here. The customer was obviously in distress and Kane thought quickly on his feet. He is a very friendly and approachable colleague who is made for the customer-facing role."
