Hero porter Megan from Stenhousemuir saves little girl from being knocked down
A huge well done to porter Megan Gray from our Stenhousemuir store who stopped a little girl just as she was about to run into a busy road into the path of a van.
Megan, who's 26, has been praised for her actions and nominated for an Asda service superstar award.
She said: "I was just putting trolleys into the trolley bay in the car park when I saw this little girl, who was probably under five. She seemed upset as it looked as if she'd been separated from her mum.
"I realised that she was about to run out into the road and into the path of a van which was about two seconds away so I grabbed her."
Megan, who's worked at the store for six years, then passed her back to the girl's extremely grateful mum.
Hazel Culbert, our store's community champion, says all her colleagues are really proud of Megan's quick-thinking.
She said: "Well done Megan; a very grateful parent and a very proud store. You could have very easily have saved that little girl's life. You definitely went above and beyond."
