Asda cuts Halloween 2026 pumpkin prices, with pumpkins from 37p and a wide choice of varieties
Asda has rolled back the prices of its fresh pumpkins for Halloween 2026, giving customers a lower-cost option for carving and seasonal decorating.
From 23 to 31 October 2026, Asda’s large pumpkins are £1 (down from £1.72), extra-large pumpkins are £2 (down from £2.43), and miniature munchkin pumpkins are 37p (down from 50p).
Asda pumpkins offer an affordable alternative to pumpkin-picking farms
Asda’s Rollback offer on pumpkins comes as people on social media discuss the rising cost of visiting pumpkin-picking farms.
A mum posted on Facebook: “Pumpkin picking seems to get more expensive each year. Is it really worth it just for a few pics for the gram?” She said: “Asda specials will be the place to go this Halloween.”
A customer on TikTok did a Halloween photoshoot with pumpkins in Asda, captioned: “POV: the pumpkin patch isn’t in the budget this year.”
One popular social media trend at pumpkin patches involves filming someone spinning around while another person holds a pumpkin over their head, with millions of views on TikToks like this example.
One customer recreated the trend in Asda, writing: “Everyone’s off to the pumpkin farm for the trend, so I found my local patch in aisle 48. No mud, no queues … and I could do my food shop after.”
Praise for the “great selection” of pumpkins at Asda for Halloween 2026
Kerry Chubb, an admin of the Snack Reviews Facebook group (550k members), posted in September about the “great selection” of fresh pumpkins at Asda.
She also highlighted the selection of pumpkin carving tools in a post in the Money Saver Bargain Hunters Facebook group (580k members). These include a Pumpkin Decoration Kit (£1.50), Pumpkin Carving Kit (95p), Family Pumpkin Carving Kit (£3) and Deluxe Pumpkin Carving Kit (£5), all part of Asda’s Horror Emporium range.
A personalised gifts business posted about Asda’s miniature munchkin pumpkins, calling them “Perfect for adding a little autumn touch around the house without spending a fortune!”
Lincolnshire pumpkin grower supplies Asda with 1.25 million pumpkins for Halloween 2026
Pumpkin grower Lincolnshire Field Products (LFP) has supplied Asda with pumpkins for more than 15 years.
This year, 1.25 million pumpkins grown at its farm in Spalding are on sale at Asda. The selection includes 11 varieties of orange pumpkin, a ghostly white variety and three types of munchkin pumpkin, alongside 12 lines of edible squash.
Martin Tate, Commercial Director at LFP, said: “Our output this year is looking fantastic, and we’re excited to see our pumpkins land in Asda stores around the country. Our edible squash has been added to the line-up for the first time, and we think customers will love it.”
He explained: “A big priority for pumpkins is that they look fantastic, so we’ve got a great washing process that sees the pumpkins go into a machine muddy from the fields and come out bright and shiny after a whirl through a big bath where they’re polished with brushes.
“It’s wonderful to witness them go from the field into wooden barrels, then through the washer and on out to be sorted and labelled, ready for the stores and on to people’s homes in time for Halloween.”
Fresh pumpkins are part of Asda’s Halloween Horror Emporium range, which includes budget-friendly sweets, snacks and seasonal pizzas, as well as Halloween-themed plush toys and animated decorations.
