Antrim charity hits the road with new minibus thanks to Asda Foundation grant
A local charity are able to hit the road after an Asda Foundation grant of £28,820 allowed them to buy a new minibus.
Family Caring Centre supports the local community in the Antrim area and the upgraded vehicle will allow the charity to continue to help local people including charities and community groups.
They have a crèche facility, an adult mental health support service, a befriending telephone scheme through Good Morning Antrim and educational services including computer literacy courses.
Family Caring Centre manager Alison O’Neill said: "We can’t thank Antrim community champion Barbara Logan and the general store manager Robert Ryans enough for their dedication in securing funding for our new minibus.
"We are over the moon with the vehicle – and I am confident the huge generosity of the Asda Foundation will transform the lives of local people through this much-needed transport facility.”
