Colleagues from our Castlepoint store gave Bournemouth PDSA Pet Hospital an early Christmas present – donating much-needed supplies.

The store's community champion Dennis Godfrey regularly volunteers with the hospital, which provides free care to the pets of people in need, and has helped them raise almost £2,000 from fundraising events in the store throughout the year.

Timothy Marchant Jones, Head Vet at PDSA Bournemouth, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be receiving this donation from Asda.

“Consumables are our biggest expenditure at the hospital so to receive a selection from Asda Castlepoint is a huge help to allow us to continue the work we do.

“We are very fortunate to continually have the support from Asda Castlepoint and cannot thank them enough for the help they give us.”

Dennis said: “Being able to go out into the community and work with great organisations such as PDSA is one of the reasons I love working at Asda.

“It’s the fantastic work of charities like this that form the backbone of our community, and it's great to have the opportunity to show support for them in this way.”
