One of our Taunton store's bakery colleagues Krzysztof Bryszel was delighted to receive £600 from the Asda Foundation to pay for new kits for one of the youth football teams at the club he set up earlier this year.
Krzysztof started Rhinos FC in January and this grant will pay for shirts for their under 14 team. He received the cheque from deputy store manager Steve Kimpton.
He said: "It's absolutely great that the Asda Foundation can support colleagues with community projects outside of work. Setting up and running Rhinos FC is my passion and my second job, and my son Ksrawery plays for one of the teams too."
The club has teams from under-sixes all the way up to under-14s, and as well as playing matches and organising training camps they aim to teach the players the importance of healthy eating, with a nutritionist recently coming along to chat to the teams.
