Colleagues in our stores are gearing up for a busy Pancake Day – just like Darren Lyall, who's worked in the bakery of our Gosforth store for ten years.
Darren has worked in the baking industry since leaving school and the delicious aromas from the bakery have been delighting customers.
He said: "We get some great comments from customers. They say they can smell the pancakes as soon as they come in the store, and that the smell is lovely. You also get cheeky school kids asking if they can have one for free!
"I like the maple ones and the chocolate ones best as I've got a sweet tooth."
