Well done to Leia Smith from our Highbridge store who raised more than £500 after taking part in a skydive for the mental health charity MIND.
Leia, who's 18, has worked in the store for two years. Colleagues at the store supported her all the way – and her fundraising efforts were topped up with a donation from the Asda Foundation.
Leia, who works in the store's chilled department, said: "Everyone in the store was really supportive. They allowed me to put a sponsorship form up on a notice board in the canteen, and lots of colleagues donated and asked me how it went.
"I'm a massive advocate for mental health. There's still so much stigma around it, and it doesn't always get the support and attention it needs.
"That's why I wanted to raise money and awareness for it, and help people who suffer with mental illness get help and support.
"The skydive was an insane, amazing experience."
The store's community champion Kelly Kinder said: "Leia must be completely fearless to do what she did! We were all really supportive of her and lots of colleagues sponsored her."
