Happy 80th birthday to our 'amazing' Stockport colleague Bernard

Colleagues at our Stockport store gathered to wish much-loved colleague Bernard O'Rourke a happy 80th birthday.

They presented him with a birthday cake and sang 'happy birthday' to him on the shop floor to celebrate his big day.

The store's customer trading manager Sarah-Lee Davies said: "Bernard is just an amazing colleague, he's got the most fantastic sense of humour.

"He's always joking and laughing. If the world was made was made of Bernards, it would be an amazing place."

Bernard, who works in the home shopping department, said: "The people here are fantastic. Sarah is the one that lights the whole place up.

"It's thanks to her that I keep going, because she's a wonderful person – and I'm not just saying that because she's here!"
