Taunton colleagues celebrate Valentine's Day

Meet the three couples who found love while working at our Taunton store.

Colleagues Deborah and Garry Lovell first met 18 years ago and became an item almost five years ago. They’ve now been married for three years.

Gary, pictured below with Deborah, said: “Our jobs brought us together, and now we have a little one now too! I feel like our little Asda family is complete!"

Sarah Kennedy met her fiancé Dan Cox at the store three years ago. They’ve been engaged for two years and are set to tie the knot in July.

Sarah, picture here with Dan, said: “After Dan proposed, we joked about having the wedding in the store as it’s where we met and where we spend every day. It’s like a second home for us!”

And Alana Stevens and Simon Johnson (pictured below) met six years ago while working as section leaders on the services and home departments. They've since moved in together. Simon said: “When I started working at Asda Taunton little did I know I was going to end up meeting the love of my life!”

Store manager Mike Jarrett said: “It’s amazing how many romances have blossomed in our store over the years. It seems that love is well and truly in the air here – or, should I say, love is well and truly in the aisles!”
