We've put the finishing touches to a series of improvements at Asda Great Yarmouth – and the store's community champion Hayley Miller has made sure one of the local charities and good causes she volunteers with is benefitting too.

Hayley's donated pots, pans and cutlery from our colleague canteen for Great Yarmouth Salvation Army to put to good use in their kitchen.

Great Yarmouth Salvation Army community manager Rosi Broad said: "Hayley's just been amazing, we're very grateful to her. This means we won't have to spend money on new items for our kitchen.

"She's also working with us to try and secure Asda Foundation funding for a new fridge which would be amazing too."

Our new-look store now has new features including Scan & Go and Click & Collect. The cafe and George sections have been refurbished, various ranges have been extended and the store also now has an improved layout.

Deputy store manager Julian Finns said: "There's been a lot of anticipation here – it's a major refit and it's created what is effectively a brand new store.

"We're a seaside resort so the timing is good – we're really looking forward to welcoming lots of new people into the store as the new summer season arrives."
