A big well done to Jen Brewis from our Benton store who 'braved the shave' by having her hair cut off – and raised more than £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Many colleagues sponsored Jen and also took it in turns to shave her hair off in the store's foyer.
Jen, who's worked on the checkouts for nine years, said: "Over the last few years I've lost quite a lot of family and friends through cancer.
"My dad's currently recovering from kidney cancer, and my sister-in-law's recovering from breast cancer. The Macmillan team have been absolutely brilliant so I wanted to do something to support them.
"Lots of people in the store supported me – everyone was really generous."
Jen raised £1,000 which was topped up by £100 from the Asda Foundation.
The store's community champion Lesley Barnes said: "Everyone in the store really supported her and got behind her. It was lovely to see."
