Local football team delighted with Asda Foundation grant for new kit
Youngsters from Attleborough Sports junior football club are looking great in these smart new kits thanks to a grant from the Asda Foundation.
Our Nuneaton store’s community champion Melissa Hutchinson presented the team with a £2,000 grant which they’ve spent on much-needed new kit and equipment for their under tens team.
Team manager Steve Brough said: "Melissa and Asda have been fantastic. In this day and age it’s so hard to raise funds, but Melissa has helped us every step of the way and it was great to see the kids receive the new kits.
“We’ve bought a new playing strip, rain jackets, match balls, goals and corner flags.”
The team organises matches and training sessions for children aged six to 16.
Melissa said: “I saw a post on Facebook from the team that said they were looking for funding and it went from there. It was great to see them all proudly wearing the new kit!”
