Here's our Grimsby store's community champion Lynn Bailey presenting an Asda Foundation cheque to a group raising money to rebuild a local play park.

A Walk In The Park was formed after the local council removed play equipment from Albion Street park for health and safety reasons, and the group is aiming to get enough money together to buy new slides and swings.

Lynn presented the £250 cheque to Natalie Hicks, Tammy Clarke and Dannie Kirby from the group.

Tammy, who is the group's chairperson, said: "Asda and Lynn have helped us out before with donations for raffle prizes, everything they do is a big help. We're also hoping to get on the store's Green Token Giving vote.

"We're fundraising to get Albion Street park rebuilt and we want to get as many local organisations to help as possible."

Lynn presented the cheque at a fun day organised by East Marsh Together, a group which helps local organisations work together for the benefit of the community.

Lynn said: "I helped out with a fundraising tombola, and generally got the message out that Asda are here to help the local community.

"It was a fantastic community day."
