Long-serving colleagues at Asda Ashford

Here are some of the friendly faces who've helped create a family atmosphere at our Ashford store since it opened 18 years ago.

The eight colleagues pictured above have worked for Asda for a combined total of 100 years and pride themselves on providing fantastic, friendly service to customers.

From left to right, they are Rhea Collins, Chris Farrant, Sylvia Cooper, Sue Waterman, Alison Heselden, Suzanne Belsey, Paul Wilson and Lynda MacDonald.

Deputy store manager Sean Kehoe said: "I've been with Asda for 21 years, so fully understand the benefits of having long-serving colleagues on board.

"They have great experience and have been through all the changes through the years, and this allows them to pass their experience on to our newer colleagues.

"This all contributes to a real family atmosphere and a great team ethic."

Suzanne Belsey has been with the store for 18 years and said: "We're on the smaller side for a superstore, and I think that helps with the community atmosphere. Everyone mucks in together.

"The best thing about working here has been the flexibilty. My kids were only a few months old when I started – now they're big strapping adults!"
