Here are some of the wonderful colleagues who've worked at our Kilmarnock store since it first opened 21 years ago.

A total of 32 colleagues – including Sharon McGowne, Carol Hood, Joy Mulhern, Carol Arnott, Bob Clugston, Pauline Hill, Joanne Wallace and Amanda Bell (all pictured above) – have worked at the store since 1997.

Amanda, who's training coordinator at the store, organised a series of special events to mark the store's 21st birthday, including a lunch at the store for colleagues and a dinner to celebrate everyone who's worked at the Kilmarnock store for more than ten years.

Amanda worked on the fresh food counters when she first joined Asda Kilmarnock and has had various roles including events coordinator over her 21-year career. She said: "The lunch went really well and allowed everyone to spend time together and swap stories of their time here at Asda Kilmarnock.

"Having been at the store since it opened, I’m sure I speak on behalf of my colleagues when I say the community spirit in the team, alongside getting to know our regular customers, is the highlight of the job”.

Ellen Rogan, store manager at Asda Kilmarnock said: "Without our friendly and committed staff, Asda Kilmarnock wouldn’t be the store it is today.

"We’re delighted to celebrate the hard work of our long serving colleagues who have been with us since the beginning and look forward to the next twenty-one years."
