Congratulations to ten of our fantastic Plymouth colleagues who recently attended a special event celebrating their combined 305 years of long service.

The colleagues – who've been helping customers for between 25 and 40 years – were invited to the special big Asda anniversary event near York.

Store manager Amanda Hubbard led the team in a guard of honour as they left for the event, which featured entertainment, a dinner and fun games.

She said: "It's been wonderful to take part in celebrating these milestones with so many colleagues, and the colleagues were thrilled to be made to feel so special as they departed the store on the day and got on to the coach.

"It gives you great pride to recognise the individual contributions and achievements each person has made to our store over its 42 years."

Lin Potts, who's 63, has worked on the store's checkouts since 1978 and said: "I really enjoy working here. You get to know your regular customers and they're all lovely.

"A lot of the long-serving colleagues live very locally and we're all friends, it's great."
