Pupils and staff at Gascoigne Primary School were delighted with the Dell laptops and tech bundles they received as part of our initiative to provide over 7,000 laptops to schools across the UK to help tackle digital exclusion.
While children returned to the classrooms ahead of the Easter holiday, there is still a need for technology to support education activities inside the classroom, homework tasks, learning during the school holidays and to help schools future proof their home learning capabilities. We formed a partnership with technology provider Dell at the start of the year to invest over £2 million so that every Asda store in the UK could donate at least 10 laptops to a local school. Headteacher Jo said: "'We are absolutely delighted to have been nominated for this generous donation by the Asda colleagues. As you are aware the pandemic has presented great challenges to our pupils' education. Thank you for your kind support in making a difference to the families of our community." We are so proud to make a difference to the children in our borough.
