I went up to Woodland Village Hall to discuss ways in which Asda can help them. The village hall is located in a rural area and used by quite a few local groups regularly, including elderly and children for things like Jubilee celebrations, Halloween and Christmas Fayres, Toddler group and craft mornings.
They are running a breakfast club for the children over the 6 weeks holidays. Any excess food they have left over is being bagging up into parcels and delivered to the locals in need.
They also have a lovely outside area which they would love to develop further by providing disabled parking spaces and an enclosed outdoor area that the children can play out in and maybe grow some of their own fruit and veg.
