Myself and Lorraine, community champion at our Burnden Park store, ran a dedicated collection for local food bank Urban Outreach through our Fight Hunger Create Change programme.
Throughout the pandemic Urban Outreach has fed over 20,000 people who have been shielding and isolating with food parcels. The charity has taken the parcels to the doors of the very vulnerable in the town and some who have been struggling with financial hardship. This has been achieved with many organisations such as the Bolton Family, Bolton at Home, Bolton Council and an army of Bolton people all arriving each day to help prepare and deliver the parcels.
