It was lovely to see that Bootle Action Group have won Echo Community Impact Award for 2020.
The group have gone from strength to strength with litter picking around Bootle, creating planters in Strand Road next to our store, planting bulbs, trees around the borough and holding the first free Bootle Christmas extravagance, which would have been its fourth year this year. We have supported with donations of cakes and drinks, plants, green tokens, a Christmas grant and my time as community champion.
