Busy, busy, busy delivering "Christmas for All"...
Six local charities were nominated by customers to receive £300 each this Christmas from the Asda Foundation for their exceptional service in our community during the pandemic. The lucky recipients were: Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, Sedcat Community Transport, The Samaritans, Michael House homeless hostel, Julia's House Children's Hospice and Citizens Advice.
Our Amelia's Rainbow Toy Appeal collected a generous hoard from customers, to benefit youngsters with serious illness or disability.
My December budget also enabled me to donate goods to benefit the clients of Bournemouth Churches Housing Association, MYtime young carers, Muscliff Primary, Barbara Rose Pre School, Twynham Church for the Community, Castle Dene residential care home, and Lewis-Manning Hospice. In addition Townsend Community Centre, Lansdowne Church and Cherry Tree Nursery will all receive up to a £600 Feeding Communities Grant.
