Happy birthday to us! We celebrated our Cookstown store's 15th birthday with a socially-distanced party for colleagues – many of whom were here on the day we first opened.
The store's community champion Janice made a special wall chart and timeline marking the history of the store since it became an Asda in 2005. She said: "We are a very friendly store and everyone knows everybody. Many of our customers use us as their local shop, so we see them every day." Store manager Peter - who opened the store 15 years ago – cut the cake. Janice said: "We weren't going to have any candles on the cake and then someone had the great idea of using a balloon pump to blow out them out!" The store will be continuing the celebrations this week with events raising money and awareness for our Tickled Pink campaign which supports CoppaFeel! and Breast Cancer Now.
