We said a fond farewell to our wonderful community champion Carolyn who's retired after working for nearly 30 years in our Doncaster store.
Carolyn, who's 65, has enjoyed a variety of roles including bakery, admin, home and leisure and recruitment before she became the store's community champion 15 years ago. She said: "I've loved that I've been able to go out in the community and help local groups such as the homeless, food banks, people with mental health issues and schools. The interaction with local groups has been wonderful. I've had a fantastic time here and I've made some amazing friends – it's been half my life!" Carolyn, who has two sons and two grandchildren, now hopes to go travelling with her husband Colin once the lockdown ends. She said: "We just love travelling. We've been all over the world. Once we can get back on cruises and planes we will be off again! I'd really like to thank everyone who has helped and assisted me on my journey with Asda." Good luck on your retirement Carolyn!
