Bboomerang Community Centre started a community larder the same week we went into lockdown and have been managing with generous donations from the public as well as using some of the centres funds to ensure no one goes hungry. Community Larders are becoming more and more integral to many communities in Dundee. For the last few weeks they have been keeping people entertained through zoom bingo while raising some much needed funds for the larder. I was only too happy to donate some prizes for next weeks session. So far the bingo has raised £500 as well as providing a kind of online support to the players as some of them are or have been isolating to keep safe. Here I am presenting the prizes to Alison Carr of Boomerang Community Centre. She was delighted with them.
