Laura from St Andrews Primary School gave me a call to discuss the new grant from the Asda Foundation to help get schools back on track. While on the call she let me know that the school have a toast club in the morning to ensure full bellies for a full day of learning. Currently this is funded through school funds, but like all schools at the moment, these are dwindling fast. So I offered to donate £60 worth of items to give them a break from using the funds, and she was delighted with that.
Making sure children have a breakfast really does set them up for a good day. I know I can't concentrate when I'm hungry, so our donation will help many children in the school.
