We'd like to say a big thank you to the generous customers and colleagues at our Dundee Kirkton store for supporting our toy appeal to help struggling families and children in our community.
Samantha, the store's community champion, set up a Christmas Giving Tree with each tag on the tree relating to a child in the DD3 area who may not receive as many presents from Santa as other children this year. The presents will be distributed through the charity Homestart-Dundee. Samantha said: "We're inviting our customers to buy a gift from one of the tags and then place in the collection trolley at the front of the store. It has already generated huge interest. In this time of uncertainty to parents, we hope this will relieve some of the pressure on them and allow them to enjoy a very merry Christmas. We are as always very grateful for all your donations and kindness." Estelle, from the charity, said: "Our children and family members are going to have a wonderful Christmas and its all down to a great community spirit around Asda Kirkton. Thank you."
