Brooke Reid is a mother who turned the loss of her beautiful daughter, Freya, into something wonderful. Brooke set up Freya’s Wish to support low income families to build happy memories.
They held a giving day where they made household essentials, clothing and toys available those in need. Brooke also wanted to make some fresh fruit and veg available for families to help themselves too, so I invited her and some of the groups supporters in to hold a cash collection afternoon in the store. Children were treated to glitter tattoos for free, but all donated a few pennies. The customers were delighted to see some fundraising back in Kirkton, and didn’t disappoint with their generosity. The girls managed to raise £456.40!! So this money will go towards providing food and toiletries to the families in the local community. All in memory of Freya Ava Skene. Fly high Butterfly🦋.
